This is the interisland ferry on its way to Picton in the south island. Its interesting that as Vince says once you add a sea crossing to the reality of a country it ups the complication and price factor of everything. Even so its sooooooooo beautiful and well worth the effort to make the voyage and live with slightly higher prices for some things.
